Young people prefer to work for eco-responsible companies

Generation Y, a digital generation, is attracted toeco-responsible business models that respect theenvironment and society. As they enter the job market, these young people are overturning work codes, and CSR in particular.

The importance of CSR in attracting young people.

The generation born in the 80s and 90s is the one that is experiencing the concrete and direct consequences of global warming: air pollution, health consequences, etc. For these reasons, the younger generation places greater importance on apositive image, on social and environmental issues, and on the meaning of their actions. As a result, they are more attracted to "clean" companies , those that take action to protect the environment, seek to reduce the impact of their greenhouse gas emissions, and promote this image ofeco-responsibility.

CSR plays a key role in this more responsible future. Yet, according to the 2017 Corporate CSR Challenges Barometer, carried out by Produrable and HAATCH, 71% of those surveyed believe their company should be more committed to social and environmental issues than it is today.

TK'Blue brings visibility to companies' CSR efforts

On the one hand, freight transport is going through a recruitment crisis due to a poor image as a "polluter". Although the transport sector has made numerous progress in reducing its environmental impact, these efforts are not sufficiently recognized. On the other hand, principals who are committed to an in-depth CSR approach also face the challenge of giving visibility to their efforts and investments.

TK'Blue, an independent trustworthy third party, responds to this demand by providing a CSR Quality index (environmental and societal) to principals. This approach is relevant to the transport sector, which until recently was limited to price-distance-time-reliability criteria for selecting and managing service providers. Carriers can thus highlight their environmental and social performance. Companies highlight their efforts to reduce the overall environmental impact of their logistics, and thus improve their social integration and social innovation.
