SOGET, publisher of digital solutions to facilitate foreign trade, and TK'Blue, the world's No. 1 rating and labeling agency for eco-responsible transport performance, announce their collaboration to help professionals in the port and logistics sector implement a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) policy, and accurately measure their carbon footprint.

At a time when CSR has become a major issue in every field, professionals in the logistics and transport sector are more than ever keen to improve the quality of their services and their environmental footprint.

To achieve these objectives and make the right decisions for the future, you need to be able to measure and analyze your current performance. Drawing on the recognized technologies and methodologies of TK'Blue Agency, SOGET is launching the "S)ONE Green" service. How does it work? To provide companies with precise, personalized monthly CSR & GHG (Greenhouse Gas) reports, based on data already processed by S)ONE.

SOGET has developed a cyber-secure data transmission gateway between S)ONE and the TK'Blue platform. SOGET's teams handle data transmission, production, customization and provision of reports according to customer requirements, as well as user support.

Thanks to the TK'Blue platform, the following are calculated for each shipment: greenhouse gas emissions and pollutants (CO2, sulfur dioxide, fine particles, nitrogen oxides, etc.), as well as societal performance in terms of negative externalities generated (noise, congestion, accidents, pollution, etc.). These calculations are based on data on the end-to-end journey made by the goods, and the different modes of transport - sea, rail, river, road - used for each stage.

As Rémi Duprez, Tratel, explains:

" The various services offered by the TK'Blue teams enable us to provide our hundreds of customers with the information they need on the impact of CO2 emissions on their behalf. The various reports represent the reality of flows, whether by service, by region, by customer for the same group, etc. .... This enables us to reportCO2 emissions up to level 3, without any great difficulty.

This management tool gives us good traceability of our environmental performance, and the ability to quickly communicate to our customers the GHG impact of the supply-chain share we cover ".

Pascal Saison, Chairman of Europorte, adds:

" The TK'Blue tool offers a global decision-support solution for both carriers and shippers, to reduce all nuisances for the benefit of the company, the community and the environment.

S)ONE Green is the brainchild of SOGET's Research and Development department, working in collaboration with TK'Blue Agency. As Haïfa Abdelhak, Innovation and Sustainable Development Manager at SOGET, explains:

"Our role is to design tomorrow's services for our customers. Wehada 'sustainable development' research focus, and we also work a lot on data processing and KPI production.[1] as decision-making and predictive tools for our customers. In the course of our work, we came across TK'Blue, an agency that has become a leader in the field of CSR applied to transport in just a few years. We quickly realized that there was a mutual service to be developed, which would bring added value to our customers. We are delighted to be able to contribute to this collective effort to build a responsible and resilient supply chain.

S)ONE Green has a two-fold objective: to help companies implement a CSR policy and enable them to meet regulatory requirements and those of their customers (shippers); to encourage a virtuous community approach by facilitating the labeling of transport service providers and optimizing business processes.

For users, S)ONE Green is a dynamic tool for measuring the performance of their service providers, enabling individualized monitoring on a customer-by-customer basis. The reports can be used for multiple purposes: to monitor the CSR performance of their activities, mitigate risks, increase productivity; but also to improve the company's image and attractiveness to customers, service providers and employees. Finally, the data can also be used to enrich their responses to calls for tender.

Major manufacturers, importers-exporters, distributors and transport companies with more than 49 employees are already obliged to publish CSR,CO2 or GHG reports since European Directive 2014/95/EU requires extra-financial reporting. Under the "energy transition" law, which came into force in 2015, these publications are strongly recommended for freight forwarders in France. These obligations are tending to expand in terms of the data to be declared and the economic players impacted.
